“Wow, this is amazing” was all I could think while walking through beautiful Sequoia National Park. Sequoia NP is home to some of the largest trees in the United States. This summer, I was able to travel to California to see both Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks. Not only are sequoias tall (up to 275 feet), they also are incredibly wide (up to 25 feet). While in Sequoia, my family took a few hikes and saw the General Sherman tree, which is the most famous tree in the park.
While in Yosemite, we took some hikes to see waterfalls, Half Dome, and so much more. Unfortunately the famous Yosemite Falls were dry due to the fact that most of the ice from the winter, which supplies the falls, had already melted. This was an amazing trip and definitely the highlight of my summer.
